In 2020, due to a force majeure, Maria Castel-Branco saw herself confined to the walls of her household, windows being the only source of air and inspiration.

 

Time measure was set only by the sunrising and the sunsetting. The tic-tac of time passing by. As it should be, actually.

Life was suspended. Tomorrow was uncertain. The world and its colours, textures and dreams seemed to have vanished to an obscured void. This pandemic stole Maria's streets, her people, her love, her dreams, her health.

She decided to take a deep breath in and to resort to some home and art supplies she still had at hand. Watercolours, brushes and kitchen paper. With them she overcame her fears, her uncertainties, despairs and she recovered from her shortness of breath. She managed to fill all the suspended
